I'm Anthony Rios, and I'm all about diving headfirst into the van life scene and soaking up every single moment of it. Picture this: me, cruising down the open road, wind in my hair, and a smile on my face as I embrace the freedom and adventure that comes with life on wheels.
I'm not just a casual observer of this movement; I'm fully immersed in it. My van isn't just a mode of transportation; it's my home, my sanctuary, and my ticket to some of the most incredible experiences imaginable.
Whether I'm parked up in a picturesque spot in the mountains or chilling by the beach, I'm living my best life, one mile at a time. And let me tell you, there's nothing quite like the feeling of waking up to a new view outside my window every morning.
So yeah, I guess you could say I'm a part-time van dweller, but I prefer to think of myself as a full-time adventurer, making the most of every dreamy, inspiring moment this lifestyle has to offer.
How? When? And Why?
I dived right into van life in 2023 I was asked by my family and many people about the reasons for wanting to choose the lifestyle. At that time, I just starting dating my amazing girlfriend Emily only problem was I lived in Texas and she lived in Canada and Van Life Sounded like the solution!
The appeal of Van Life first caught my eye through the casual charm of social media creators, whose van life videos I stumbled upon. It was like finding a cool corner of the internet—a place full of inspiring images and chill vlogs that showcased breathtaking landscapes and laidback living on the road.
The idea of freedom and the relaxed vibe of Youtube-vanlifers intrigued me. I was curious to see if the reality lived up to the hype of their online videos.
The pull towards van life wasn't driven by dissatisfaction with everyday routines or tight finances, but rather by the inspiration drawn from fellow Vanlife YouTubers and my innate love for adventure. I vividly recall stumbling upon a TTTHEFINEPRINTTT video featuring a guy living a nomadic lifestyle with his dog, while gaming, working out of his van and traversing the country living his best life . In that moment, something within me clicked, and I knew I wanted a slice of that lifestyle.
I became engrossed in devouring countless videos, eager to glean as much insider knowledge as possible. The inspiration I found was beyond words; I was glued to YouTube for hours, yearning for the freedom to explore awe-inspiring destinations.
I've always admired the courage of those who choose the digital nomad path. They're not merely dreamers but individuals who take decisive action, regardless of their age or background. They're the ones who derive energy from immersing themselves fully in nature, living life to the fullest.
Recognizing the longing in my heart, I took the leap and invested in my first converted Sprinter Van —a decision I've never regretted. It was an opportunity to live out my dream adventure, and I seized it with both hands. From that moment on, there was no looking back; I hit the road with full throttle, reveling in the freedom to spontaneously explore while feeling right at home. Needless to say, I was—and still am—completely hooked on the van life lifestyle.

With fewer material possessions and a surplus of electrifying adventures, I've undergone a significant shift in perspective. The ample time for self-reflection has led me to simplify my life, clarifying my values and core vision.

Minimalist Revelation
To be perfectly honest, I never saw myself as the rugged, outdoorsy type—camping and roughing it out weren't exactly my cup of tea. But oh, how things have changed! Thanks to the Van Life movement, I've fallen head over heels for a lifestyle I never imagined embracing. Gone are the days of indulging in the plush comfort of fancy hotels; now, I find myself drawn to the simplicity and freedom of life on the road.
Van life has completely flipped my perspective upside down, and I couldn't be happier about it.
